De Toi a moi (Just So You Know)

shouldn’t love you
but I want to,
I just can turn away
I shouldn’t see you
but I can’t move
can’t look away

And I don’t know
How to be fine, when I’m not
Cause I don’t know
How to make this feeling stop

CHORUS

It’s getting hard to, be around you
There’s so much I can’t say
and do you want me to hide feelings
and look the other way

And I don’t know
how to be fine, when I’m not
Cause I don’t know
How to make this feeling stop

CHORUS

This emptiness is killing me
and I’m wondering why I’ve waited so long
Looking back I relized,
it was always there just never spoken
and I’m waiting here
been waiting here

mmmm…..

CHORUS

Bluetooth Neck Collar The Earpiece Alternative

Bluetooth technology has existed in mobile phone devices for some time now, allowing hands free communication to take place, resulting in a safer way to talk whilst driving for example. Bluetooth currently works using a small earpiece which is either internal or fitted around the ear. You know, the people who you think are talking to you, or even worse to themselves until you discover the concealed earpiece.

This new Bluetooth enabled gadget is more obvious than the earpiece counterpart, though it does mirror a dog collar somewhat. It does however, relieve those around you from thinking you’re talking to yourself or are some kind of schizophrenic. The advantages of the collar design include the location of the microphone; almost attached to your voice box resulting in clearer sounds and alleviating the need to shout allowing others to listen in to private conversations.

Ipod Alarm Clock Wake Up To Your Favourite Song

For many waking up early morning is a chore with many of us relying on alarm clocks for awakening us from our dreams. Regular alarm clocks possess familiar ringing sounds, with not much in the way of inspiration to waken you other than a loud frustrating noise. Now, you can be woken up by your favourite song, or by a heavy metal band to ensure your attention is grabbed. The iPod alarm clock can be set to play a specific song, play-list or album. For those of us who appreciate the snooze function on common alarm clocks, the iPod alarm clock comes with an inbuilt 9 minute snooze function. The Modu The Worlds Lightest Phone

Mobile phones used to be assessed on how small they were, with phone companies competing against each other to create the smallest handset on the market. Mobile phone features used to take less precedence over the size of the phone, but as consumer needs evolved the phones evolved in parallel. Phones were now being crammed with as many features as possible, pushing both the size and weight of handsets back to a similar level when mobile phones first emerged onto the market.

In the modern world, achieving the correct balance of size and features is critical. Sizes and features are constantly being designed and re-thought and Modu have now released the world’s lightest ever mobile phone handset. The Modu weighs in at no more than 40.1 grams and will be released into the public market in the final quarter of 2008. The Modu is also incredibly intricate, measuring in at 72.1mm X 37.6mm X 7.8mm. What’s clever about the phone is that there are a number of add-ons available, which can be connected separately depending on what tasks you’re looking to do. For instance, if you’re heading out into the countryside and planning to take lots of pictures then you can simply attach the camera module and you’re good to go.

The Modu also features Bluetooth technology, music playback and a 1GB memory module, which can transform the phone into a portable data device. As of yet, there is no price tag on the product - but one thing for certain is that it will be light enough to carry around with complete ease.

Usb Photo Scanner Preserves Your Memories

Photographs are, for some of us, our most prized possessions allowing memories to be taken in a snapshot, saved and shared. With the digital age now upon us, storing images and pictures onto digital media is much preferred to preserve photographs and memories, ensuring that you have a backup and cannot be damaged by lying around in a box. Transforming normal photographs into their digital equivalents is no easy task, but it has now been made easy thanks to the USB Photo Scanner. Armed with a 5 Mega-pixel CMOS sensor, scanning a photo takes a few minutes, much faster than most modern scanners.

As you filter each photograph into the tray and slide them into the converter, you press the button and the scanner takes care of the rest — the photograph is recorded and saved onto your computer system with the minimum of fuss. Photographs are saved at a resolution of 1800 dpi, 10 bits per channel and automatically control both colour and exposure.

The scanner simply connects via USB interface to your PC or Laptop and is available from the Hammacher Schlemmer website for the price of $149.95. Start preserving your memories now.

Microsoft and Intel to Spend $20 million on Parallel Computing Development

Microsoft and Intel work to create parallel computing to make computers work faster by dividing tasks over numerous microprocessors, rather than having one processor to perform one task at a time.

Two major companies will invest 20 million U.S. dollars during a five year period to promote the research on parallel computing at two research centers at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and University of California, Berkeley in U.S.

The development of parallel computing was discussed for years and was considered to be a breakthrough in technology. Now, Intel and Microsoft want to make it a reality.

Parallel computing will result in big advances in software and make it possible for example to translate documents in real time in multiple languages. In parallel computing tasks are carried out simultaneously and is based on a principle that larger tasks can be divided into smaller tasks to be performed concurrently.

"Parallelism is the path forward to the unprecedented levels of performance that are needed … to keep this growth going," said Andrew Chien, chief of Intel research.

Tony Hey, executive vice president of external research at Microsoft Research said that parallel computing will make radical changes in the way the software for supercomputers, server computers, laptops and handheld devices is developed.

“Cell Phone Addiction”….for our ITELect1 proJect…

For most people, heeding these warnings in hospitals or at the movies is as simple as pressing a button. But for a growing number of people across the globe, the idea of being out of touch, even just for a 90-minute movie, is enough to induce anxiety, says a University of Florida psychologist who studies addictions to the Internet and other technologies.

Although cellular phones and personal digital assistants such as the BlackBerry were created to make modern life more convenient, they are actually beginning to interfere in the lives of users who don’t know when to turn them off, says Lisa Merlo, an assistant professor of psychiatry in the UF College of Medicine. "It’s not so much talking on the phone that’s typically the problem although that can have consequences too," Merlo said. "(It’s) this need to be connected, to know what’s going on and be available to other people. That’s one of the hallmarks of cell phone addiction."Unlike addictions to alcohol, drugs or even gambling, it can be hard to pinpoint problematic cell phone use. Almost everyone has a cell phone and uses it regularly. But if someone can’t get through dinner without sending text messages or furiously typing on a personal digital assistant during a meeting, it may be time to take a step back, Merlo said. How people respond to being separated from their cell phones or PDAs is another clue. Frequent users often become anxious when they are forced to turn off the phone or if they forget it at home, so much so that they can’t enjoy whatever they are doing, Merlo added. Often, cell phone "addicts" compulsively check their phones for voicemails and text messages, she said. "When (cell phone overuse) really becomes problematic for a lot of people is if they have underlying anxiety or depression," she said. "This can really exacerbate it or (cause) their symptoms to manifest themselves."For example, someone who already worries about what others think of them could become easily agitated if their phone calls or messages aren’t returned right away. "This is something that is going to affect them on a day-to-day basis," Merlo said. The problem seems to be growing. A Japanese study revealed that children with cell phones often don’t make friends with their less tech-savvy peers, a Hungarian study found that three-fourths of children had mobile phones and an Italian study showed that one quarter of adolescents owned multiple phones and many claimed to be somewhat addicted to them. A British study also recently found that 36 percent of college students surveyed said they could not get by without cell phones. But this may be more a sign that students view cell phones as a modern necessity like a car, said David Sheffield, a psychologist who conducted the study at Staffordshire University in England. "The most shocking figure was that 7 percent said the use of mobile phones had caused them to lose a relationship or a job," Sheffield said. Although experts have pinpointed these problems in frequent cell phone users, studies have yet to show if a bad cell phone habit constitutes an actual addiction. Yet as with traditional addictions, excessive cell phone use is associated with certain hallmark patterns of behavior, including using something to feel good, building up a tolerance and needing more of it over time to get the same feeling, and going through withdrawal if deprived of it, Merlo said. Cell phone users could start out with one phone and switch to newer models with more advanced features or PDAs that act like mini-computers over time to get the same feeling they had with their first phone, she said. Although withdrawal is typically considered a physical response that occurs when the body goes without a chemical, the anxiety cell phone users feel without their phone could simply be another form of withdrawal. "Those things lend toward the idea that maybe this is an addiction, but maybe it’s manifesting in a little bit different way than you would think of a chemical substance," Merlo said.Addiction also causes changes in the brain, but scientists have yet to measure what happens in the brains of cell phone users, she said. Even eating and other behaviors have been shown to produce the same effects in the brain as drugs and alcohol in some people, UF studies have shown. For frequent phoners who do think they have a problem or for parents of children obsessed with their cells, Merlo advises downgrading to a basic phone with fewer features and setting limits about where and when to use the phone."Cell phones are a great technology," Merlo said. "They are useful in a lot of situations. (But) one of the most important things is making sure you have some cell phone free time in your day. It’s OK to turn it off. Focus on family, homework, knowing that cell phone message will still be there."

When I was a little kid, I fell from a tree. But, I manage to hold on to the branch. I was up there for a long time and waited. The silence. The pain in my arms. The blood pumpin’  my ears. Then I fell. I couldn’t remember what happen when I hit the ground. All I could remember was the agony of holding on, and the wonderful feeling of letting go. I’ve got hurt ‘coz I let go and fell. But it’s much better to let go than trying to hold on, knowing that it’s going to hurt even more, and knowing I’ll eventually fall…

“Love takes time”. It needs a history of giving and receiving. Love is the joy that make people smile. Love is easy to feel but so hard to explain, easy to get but so hard to let go, easy to spell but hard to define. Love is created not by words but by feelings,  not by humans but by hearts. Love is not you forget but how you forgive, not how you listen but how you understand, not what you see but what you feel, not how you let go, but how you hold on…

I realize that life is indeed full of contradictions. Sometimes its crazy to be sane, you need to fall to fly, people suffer because you care. Why do you show your love at someone you’re not committed with? Why feel lonely yet everybody’s with you? How long can you wait to hear the words “iLoveU” when he/she is waiting too? How could you deny you are inLove when it’s already felt and visible to both of you?  So then, how long will you pretend? When it’s about to end?

Finally, at least four online music stores for Windows that are decent alternatives to peer-to-peer file-sharing networks. Apple’s iTunes, Napster 2.0, and the new MusicMatch Jukebox let you download songs for about 99 cents each (and most albums for $9.99), and they all have a simple approach to digital rights management. The fourth service, Buy-music.com, has many of the same songs as its competitors but with a complicated pricing scheme and rights policy.

iTunes was the first major service to offer pay-as-you-go downloads of single songs, and it has a lot of exclusive content from artists, including the Eagles and Sarah Mclachlan. You’ll find the favorite playlists of popular artists as well as 5,000 audio books. The latest version lets you easily share music with other computers, buy gift certificates, and give the kids an allowance.
The downside: Although iTunes can create MP3 files, its native file format is AAC, so tunes can be played back only from itunes or an iPod. If you already have music in Windows Media (WMA) format, you’ll need another music player.

Napster 2.0, now owned by Roxio, marries the online store concepts with an updated version of the company’s pressplay service. So you can use it either as a store or as a streaming music service. Unlimited streaming costs $9.95 a month – good if you have broadband and use just one computer. Extras include a messages board and a feature that lets you see what your friends are playing (if they let you).
Napster is primarily a store. It’s not designed for ripping CD’s, and it doesn’t have many of the jukebox features of the other services. Napster is planning a plug-in that lets you use Window Media Player (WMP) to manage the rights to Napster’s files. Napster supports only a single digital music player, but since it supports WMA files, you can use WMP to put music on many other digital music players that WMP supports.

Still the best jukebox on the Pc, MusicMatch Jukebox offers a slightly smaller library than the other two services, but it’s better integrated with the jukebox and radio features. As a result, its personalized recommendations can really help you discover new music.
If you have an iPod and are sure to stay on Apple route, then go with iTunes. If you want more flexibility in a music player (maybe you have a flash memory – based player instead of a hard drive – based on one), then you need Napster or MusicMatch Jukebox. If you’re going to use a service mostly on your desktop, then Napster is the best. But if, you have an extensive collection of music on CD’s, then MusicMatch Jukebox may be the best choice for occasional downloading.
